The Real Photo Post Card (26222) was found in the book, I assume it was purchased at the same time as the book.

Taken from inside cover: The cover picture is from a drawing by R. Crocker, engraved by James Basire the younger for Sir Richard Colt Hoare's "Ancient History of South Wiltshire"(1812). The view is from the west and shows in the background the first two trilithons and in the foreground the leaning Stone 56 as it appeared before its re-setting in 1901.

In 1982 this guide book was republished as the Ministry of Public Building and Work official Guide book, with a new cover.
