Magic Lantern Slide of Family at Stonehenge

It is easy to assume that this Magic Lantern Slide was taken by a proud father of his family while on a day visit to Stonehenge. The young boy dresses in white sits atop one of the stones. This photo was taken sometime after the first reconstruction work in 1901 and before the tree line seen in the background was cleared. The photographer has posed the younger sister with her mother and the family dog in a patch of sun not far from center circle. The visual alignment of Blue stones centered both in the fore and background, combined with the two patch of sunlight highlighting our subjects on each side, complete this composition.
