These unique pieces of miniature art are from Hélène's Stonehenge Collection, they have a Vibrant finish, a Textured and lacquered effect, obtained with many layers of clear glaze over various mediums - She uses Watercolours, acrylic, Ceramic and Vitrial paints that gives it a vibrant quality.These have been hand painted and varnished and therefore are considered to be Originals. Signed, Named and dated on the reverse.

About the Artist: Hélène Howse, (née Morand) was born in St. Lô, France in 1944, married and came to Britain in 1963, and has lived in Swindon since 1972. "Always fascinated by the magic of colours, I studied art in France but painting became a passion that changed my life in many ways in 1995 after a period of private tuition from a gifted artist, an ex-Head of Art and Design with Swindon College. I have since held several solo exhibitions both in France and England."

Much to my surprise an original silk AECO purchased from an different artist in England came wrapped in an artist card featuring a 2001 original 42x29.7cm water color titled "Druids Temple" from the "Wiltshire Scenes" Series. There is little question that it was a print of this watercolor that inspired the Stonehenge AECO by this artist. A little followup reveled the parental relationship between these two artists. I have since acquired several more Stonehenge related ACEO's and art cards from each of them.
