The Hupe Collection, Stonehenge Collectibles

I picked these up on eBay Christmas 2006, a few are to be presents. In their description The Hupes answer the question Why use Stonehenge on this set with the following statement: "Stonehenge was selected as an icon because it is a well-known ancient observatory where both the Lunar and Maritain cycles were witnessed among other celestial bodies."

I would like to feature the entire set here in the gallery, but alas the $300 cost of a full set of 12 is beyond this gallery's budget unless of course the Hupes would like to make a contribution to this collection.

So what exactly is the Hupe's said to be pronounced "Who-pays" Collection? From what I can find online the Hupe brothers Adam and Greg Hupe are even more obsessed with meteorites as I am about my Stonehenge collectables. The big difference is collecting rocks from space is a rich man's sport that takes one all over the world and often requiring very deep pockets! And these two brothers have built one of the largest private collections of pricey space debris in the world by digging deep at times.

These samples were purchased from eBay seller raremeteorites Adam Hope of Tacoma, Washington holds membership No. 2185 with the International Meteorite Collectors Association whose stated purpose is the Authenticity of Meteorites. No. 2185 authenticated these samples from set Number 40 of the Hupe Collection.
