American Pickers Stonehenge Reference

The History Channels series American Pickers made a brief reference to Stonehenge about 27 minutes into the episode featuring William Shatner. The following three screen saves highlight this monumental 15 or so seconds in television history.

Of the two conflicting theories on how the stones were moved, I find it interesting the shows producers have chosen to reference the one involving glacier Ice and not the more popular grand human effort theory.

I find the need to explain, what otherwise was an off handed Stonehenge reference referring to a collection of mill stones, with this short factoid to be curious to say the least.

Although lasting only one or two frames on screen before the factoid text scrolled, I assume this image of Stonehenge was clipped from some stock footage.

This screen save, captured the transitional from our hero's offhanded Stonehenge comment and the Stonehenge factoid they felt necessary to include for presumed clueless the American audience.
