Stonehenge QSL from G9CL to W7DXZ

A QSL card is a written confirmation of a Radio or TV transmission. These cards are usually the same size as a postcard and are often highly personalized.

This QSL card confirms that, at 3:30 in the afternoon local time on the day before Christmas in 1947 C.W.Kirk G9CL did in fact communicate via Ham Radio with Frank W7DXZ on the west coast of the USA from a location "Near ancient Stonehenge - where worshipped the Druids" as it reads on the front of the card.
The address on the back indicates the contact was made from his home address in Nab Wood, Shipley, Yorks. Although located on the same small Island, a far cry north of Stonehenge.

Many thanks to K1IGD "Chuck" at Quarter Century Wireless Association who kindly consulted their extensive library of old callbooks and found W7DXZ listed in the winter 47/48 callbook as Frank Pratt in Tacoma, WA.

If anyone out there has other examples of Stonehenge related cards, I would like to add them to this gallery.
