Stonehenge (Wilts).
The Ancient Druids' Circle on Salisbury Plain. An imposing megalithic structure
comprising two concentric stone rows on a horseshoe plan, surrounded by two concentric stone circles, within an earthwork 300ft. across. Probable date 1680 B.C. In 1900 one of the outer pairs with its capstone fell, and was restored in 1920.
