Father Christmas flying over Stonehenge

This postcard Father Christmas over Stonehenge by M Kendall published by Planet Prints PO Box 62, Uckfield TN22 IZY raises a number of questions and suppositions.

First it should be noted that Santa is traveling from South to North as the Sun is rising in the east. Leaving little question that this is Santa on his way back home to the north pole on the morning after.

As a child of the 50's I clearly remember a news report of Santa being last sighted over Stonehenge heading west across the ocean, heading our way.... That was off to bed time in our house.

Here is a thought, Santa takes a path down the zero meridian from the north poll, wee know this because the good little girls and boys who live near Stonehenge get their Christmas loot on time. When he finishes his long night around the world he swings back north again along the same zero meridian to witness the the beauty of sunrise at Stonehenge on the morning after.

It looks like Jolly Old Saint Nick most likely holds the record for greatest number of over flights of Stonehenge by any pilot.
